Wassim Nader: A Problem Solver and Effective Engineer
Wassim Nader is an exceptional engineer who excels at tackling challenges head-on. With a genuine knack for problem-solving, he possesses a crucial attribute necessary for success in his field. Wassim not only engages with individuals but also motivates his team, ensuring that everyone is on track and working towards a common goal. Furthermore, he prioritizes communication with clients, striving to meet their needs effectively. In fact, Wassim's founding mantra can be summed up in the simple yet profound saying: "communication is key." It serves as the foundation for every successful project and relationship he undertakes.

Wassim began his engineering journey during his time as a student at NJIT. Early on, he collaborated with prominent firms and played a vital role in the expansion of a local firm in New Jersey. In 2012, he took the initiative to establish The Nader Group. Over the course of his extensive career, Wassim has gained unparalleled experience spanning several decades across a wide range of projects. From conducting flood studies for FEMA to designing sites for major developers, he has demonstrated his versatility and expertise in various areas.

Currently, Wassim holds the position of overseeing all engineering and survey projects at The Nader Group. This role reflects his personal commitment to the success of every endeavor he undertakes. Notably, he is a highly regarded Professional Engineer in several states, including New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Florida. Additionally, Wassim holds the esteemed certification of being a nationally recognized Certified Floodplain Manager.

Karen J. Wenschhof, AIA, CID, CFM

Meet Karen: Your Design Manager

Karen is a highly skilled professional with a passion for designing spaces that reflect her clients' visions and needs. As the leader of our Design Group at NADER, Karen embraces every project as an exciting challenge and a fascinating puzzle waiting to be solved. She understands that each client has unique requirements, whether it's incorporating cutting-edge technology, achieving distinctiveness, enhancing efficiency, or managing costs.

Co-founder of NADER in 2012, Karen has solidified her expertise in the field over the past two decades. With a strong background in project management and design, she has developed a deep understanding of the challenges clients face in creating spaces that not only meet their aesthetic desires but also fulfill their anticipated needs.

As an architect and interior designer, Karen excels at working within existing structures, skillfully adapting space and circulation to meet the current functional requirements of a building. Her proficiency extends beyond design, incorporating knowledge in American and architectural history, communication, and interior design. This unique blend allows Karen to seamlessly integrate function with form.

With degrees in Architecture, Interior Design, and Communications, Karen's well-rounded education and deep understanding of the field give her a strong foundation for success. She is a registered architect in multiple states, including New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Moreover, Karen is a Certified Interior Designer in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Florida, and Washington DC. In addition to these qualifications, she is a nationally Certified Floodplain Manager.

Michael King, PLS, PP

Director, Geomatics

Michael has over 48 years of experience including performance and supervision of all aspects of the land surveying profession. Project experience includes floodplain surveys, aerial control surveys and provision of control data to aerial mapping consultants, flood elevation certificates, the management of GPS surveys, ALTA boundary and topographic surveys, residential and commercial subdivision and land development plans, environmental and wetlands surveys, monitoring well and boring locations, highway and rail route surveys, tunnel surveys, preparation and supervision of land surveys for acquisition purposes, preparation of legal descriptions for deeds, condominium certificates, geodetic surveys, surveys for roadway, construction stakeout and expert testimony.

Raymond Waters, PLS

Professional Land Surveyor

Ray has over 40 years of experience in land surveying including boundary, topographic, planimetric, hydrographic, utilities, right-of-way, and construction stakeout. Ray started his career in the Air Force as a Site Development Specialist and continued after his military career working for local companies, including Wassim's prior firm. Ray's extensive expertise and commitment to quality is unsurpassed in the industry.

Paul K. Weberg, PE

Director, QA/QC

Paul is an experienced Civil Engineer from when he first graduated NYU/Poly with a bachelor of science with honors. He is a well-known engineer and his awards for Lifetime Floodplain Management Achievement Award and National Recognition Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) speak in his honor. Paul has a tremendous amount of experience working with FEMA as in 1999 he was selected for FEMA's Excellence in Leadership Program (LEP). As well as received several Congressional Letters of Commendation throughout his FEMA career. Working with us, Paul manages and directs all water resource projects and his experience and work ethic is unparalleled.
